Every Friday, I check the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System's (VAERS) latest update on the COVID-19 (COVID) vaccines, with data going back to 1990, and analyze it here  [*1]. Over  half of all serious vaccine adverse events (like death and permanent disability) since 1990  come from the COVID vaccines that were first available in  December 2020 . As of the August 20, 2021 update, 13,627 deaths were reported from the COVID vaccines out of 22,501 deaths ever reported to VAERS for any  vaccine, meaning 60.5% of all vaccine-related deaths ever reported to the CDC came from the COVID vaccines. A total of 658,957 adverse events out of 1,564,377 (42.12%) going all the way back to  1990 come from the COVID vaccines (see screenshot below). If an American football player fumbles, and the opposing team recovers the ball and scores a touchdown, we assume the fumbler merely erred. But, if he fumbles after catching the ball, stopping, and casually  walking , we assume he's throwing the game. Do we need a notarized confession from him, perhaps video-recorded? Do we need the same for the bribers? Do we need bank statements showing a wire-transfer for the bribe? Isn't the fact that the player chose to walk after catching the ball all the evidence we need to prove he was trying to lose the game on purpose? Do we need to prove why he would betray his team with what he received for the betrayal to know that  he threw the game? We have a different standard in politics than we do in sports for concluding a game is being thrown. The mid-wits among us chant the pejorative conspiracy theorist  [*1] toward those doubting the good intentions of our leaders. What is obvious to most fans of a sport is not observed by most citizens

In my weekly updates to a piece on how half of adverse effects reported for any vaccine since 1990 to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) are for COVID-19 vaccines that became available in December 2020 [*1], I noticed a curious anomaly. Despite being a U.S. reporting system under the CDC ( accessible here [*2]), foreign reports are accepted, and, astonishingly, greatly outpace the U.S. ones, especially regarding the COVID-19 vaccines. Even though this piece focuses on the disparity in data-reporting more than the substance of the reports, our lovely detractors will bring up the usual caveats about VAERS reporting via their feckless "fact checks."
